Cowpoke Corner Corral is located by the Glacier Lodge, near the main entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.
They offer a variety of rides for all levels, from 1 hour rides to all day trips. Itineraries include trips into the national park and also into the adjacent Forest Service land, with views back to the mountains in the park.
The wranglers are knowledgeable and friendly, and know a lot about not only horses, but also about the area.
Reservations are definitely recommended. The stable will want to know not only that you are coming, but what level of rider you are, so they can be sure to have a horse available that matches your ability.
We appreciate that SK Horses, the parent company, ensures that the horses at both their locations are well cared for. (They also operate the National Park Gateway Stables, at the Fall River Entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.) Our veterinarian friend used to work here while she was in vet school, and confirmed that this is a well-managed stable.
