Glacier Creek Stables, inside Rocky Mountain National Park, is adjacent to Sprague Lake, and a short hike from the Glacier Basin Campground.
Rides from 2 hours to all day are offered here, with some of the longer trips taking you along the top of the Continental Divide for a true Rocky Mountain high.
This is one of two stables actually located within the national park, and for that reason, it is one of the busiest. (The other is Moraine Park Stables.) Many visitors to the area mistakenly believe that because the stables are in the National Park, their rides will have the best views. Almost all the local outfitters ride in to the park, though, so don’t let that distinction fool you!
Reservations are recommended, as this is a busy location.
