Estes Park Schools

Estes Park SchoolsMost schools in Estes are part of the Park School District, R-3.

The three public schools share a campus on the east side of town, just south of Lake Estes.  All three schools boast a relatively low teacher student ratio of about 1:15.

Estes Park Elementary comprises about 500 students in grades Pre K-5.

Estes Park Middle School, for grades 6-8, has about 240 students.

Estes Park High School has about 375 students in grades 9-12.

The athletics and music programs are worth noting for their quality.

The school district also supports the Estes Park Options School, which provides group opportunities for home-schooled students.

Eagle Rock School, founded in 1993, is an independent, alternative high school sponsored by the American Honda Motor Company.  The curriculum is designed for students that have not experienced success in traditional academic programs.

About 50% of students are from Colorado, and the rest are from other states; there are about 100 students total.  Applications for admission are accepted three times a year.
