Olive Ridge Campground

olive-ridge-campgroundOlive Ridge Campground is about 15 miles/30 minutes south of Estes Park on Hwy 7, at an elevation of 8,350 feet. It is adjacent to the Wild Basin area of Rocky Mountain National Park, which offers numerous and varied hiking options.

The campground is well forested with pine and aspen trees.  Sites are well placed among the boulders, and are fairly private.  Tent sites have nicely level tent pads.

There are 56 tent and RV sites with fire grates and picnic tables, but no electricity or dump stations.  Most campsites hold a maximum of 8 campers.  Some sites may be available to reserve in advance.

The campground is summer-only.  Firewood is available for purchase when fire restrictions are not in place.  The restrooms are vault toilets.  Bear boxes allow for secure food storage.

Please check the status of potable water before camping here; the water system may have been damaged by the 2013 floods.
