Meeker Park Campground is the overflow campground for Olive Ridge, and has few amenities. It is not well known, however, so can be a good spot for last-minute travelers with no reservations. It’s also nicely forested, and in a beautiful location.
You’ll find fire grates, picnic tables, and portable toilets, but not much else. There are 29 sites available on a first-come, first served basis. Although RVs and tent campers are allowed, the roads are unpaved and steep, and the pull-ins are short. There is no water, no electricity, and no dump stations. Pets are allowed. The campground is summer only.
Meeker Park Campground is two miles south of the Longs Peak Trailhead, on the west side of Hwy 7, at mile marker 11. It is about 25 minutes south of Estes Park. The campground sits at 8,600′ (2,621m) elevation.
