The Waterfront Grille at the Estes Park Resort (formerly the Lakeshore Lodge) is a beautiful spot with floor to ceiling windows looking out onto Lake Estes and Longs Peak. The food can be quite good, especially the steaks, and the menu changes seasonally.
The restaurant usually has a quiet, romantic vibe, and there is also a separate bar area with a good selection of Colorado microbrews.
As with every almost restaurant in Estes, you’re better off going when it’s likely to be less crowded, such as early in the evening or on a weeknight. Otherwise, the quality of both the service and the food can decline. And when you’re paying more than average for your meal, as you will here, you want to make sure that it’s worth it!
We’ve been very pleased with all of our dining experiences here, but we’ve heard of others who haven’t been as fortunate. Just another game of dining roulette in Estes, I guess!
