The Sundeck Restaurant

We’re not sure what the best part of The Sundeck is–the Old Estes Park décor (it’s been in the same location since 1948!), the people, or the food. Combined, they make for a great dining experience in Estes Park.

The Sundeck, open only in the summer, is popular with locals, especially Rocky Mountain National Park employees on their lunch breaks, since this is just about the closest restaurant to the main entrance of the park. Which makes it a great choice if you’re camping in the park, too.

Lunch and Dinner options include sandwiches, salads, and steaks. They’re well known for their Rocky Mountain Trout, too. Our personal favorite is the Sundeck Sandwich. Seriously, just get it.

They also have a bar area and an extensive selection of wine and mixed drinks.

Plus, the turquoise neon sign is just way cool.
