Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is a bit of a Colorado institution, with the original shop in Durango, Colorado. From there, they’ve franchised out to dozens of locations throughout the country.
They serve a variety of chocolate products, from filled chocolates to fudge to chocolate-dipped confections. The chocolate is quite good, but true chocolate snobs will find that it’s not outstanding. This is to be expected when much of the chocolate is not made on-site. The average sweet tooth won’t find anything to complain about, however.
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is popular with the local wildlife, too. Check out this fun news segment detailing how a black bear broke into the store and helped himself to some chocolate!
