Nicky’s opened in 1967, and in some ways, it feels like it never left. The decor is straight up late 60s chic, and is kind of retro awesome.
There are two restaurants here – a steakhouse and a “garden restaurant” serving lighter fare, such as the salad bar. The food is generally pretty good, but in the height of the summer, both the quality of the food and the service can suffer.
That doesn’t stop locals from coming here, though. You’re sure to find some there just about every weekend in the summer, especially in the lounge, where there’s plenty to drink, and you can hear the sound stylings of Ray Young on piano.
There really is a Nicky, too, and he’s still running the place.
