About 25 minutes from Estes in the tiny mountain town of Allenspark, Meadow Mountain Cafe serves up some seriously tasty food in a backwoodsy, homey, hippie sort of place, with a friendly dog outside and a smile on every face.
If you’re hiking in Wild Basin, be sure to stop here for breakfast. And if you’re not hiking in Wild Basin, it’s well worth the trip to this little cafe. The drive there is part of a Scenic Byway, and the food and atmosphere can’t be beat.
This is a true locals’ hangout, open for breakfast and lunch.
