Hands down, Donut Haus makes the best donuts in Estes Park. We’re partial to the Cheesecake Roll, which has a cream cheese and cinnamon topping, but they’re all good, and they are baked from scratch every morning.
The Donut Haus has been feeding locals and visitors alike since the mid 1970s, when it was started in what used to be an old Phillips 66 station by Dieter d’Alquen. You will still find some old timers who call it “Dieter’s.”
There are only three unfortunate things about the Donut Haus:
- Their donuts are so yummy, they may sell out of your favorite flavor before the morning is out
- They’re closed on Mondays in the winter
- Their parking lot is too small to accommodate all the people who want to eat their yummy, yummy donuts
You can get around the parking problem by parking in the lot for Fun City, just a few steps south of the Donut Haus. Make sure to go early for the best selection.
