El Mex-Kal is easily Estes Park’s best Mexican restaurant, and we’re thrilled they decided to open a branch in Estes Park (they also operate a restaurant in Milliken, CO).
The thing that first strikes you upon entering is how friendly they are–you really do feel like you’re in a family restaurant.
Then come the chips and salsa. The chips are fresh, and the salsa’s just right!
Everything we’ve tried so far has been delicious, fro the chicken burrito to the pollo asada burrito to the sopapillas…

Best Mexican food in Estes Park, hands down. The others aren’t even worth visiting. Chips and salsa are fresh and the service is great. These people are really nice and they make good food, too.
