Reel Mountain Theater is Estes Park’s three-screen cinema, located in the Stanley Village Shopping Center. It is open year round.
For a small town theater, they do a great job showing a variety of films, including some indies. The lobby decor is appealing, and the concession stand has a wide array of drinks and snacks, plus great popcorn. Make sure to play some of the fun arcade games in the lobby. The three theaters have stadium seating with cupholders, and are air conditioned.
Why do I mention air conditioning in this day and age, you ask? Because many, many buildings in Estes Park have no A/C, since the summers are generally so mild. On a hot day, though, Reel Mountain Theater is a great place to beat the heat.
The theater sometimes has special events like free matinees and family movies. Check their website for these, and while you’re there check out their reward program. Theater rentals are available. There is ample free parking.
After the movie, consider a walk down the stairs to Village Pizza.
