Presbyterian Community Church Of The Rockies is perhaps the oldest congregation in Estes Park; they were organized over 100 years ago.
You might have wondered where “The Old Church Shops” in downtown Estes Park got the name–wonder no more. The building was built for this congregation in 1909. They moved to their current location in 1982.
The Presbyterian church is located near the Estes Park Public Schools on the east side of town. In addition to the chapel with its impressive organ, they also have a lovely outdoor chapel (which are available for weddings).
The church’s statement of belief is as follows:
The Presbyterian Community Church of the Rockies is a sacred community formed around Jesus the Christ where we experience God’s presence in our lives and service together.
We strive to be open, accepting, trustworthy, and compassionate demonstrating God’s love, peace, and justice to the world.
We strive to be better stewards of time, talent, and money in order to preserve and enhance God’s kingdom on earth.
We strive through quality education to grow spiritually and in our understanding of our faith.
