Poppy’s Pizza and Grill is one of the most popular restaurants in Estes Park, for both locals and tourists alike. The food is reliably good, and the people are fantastic.
Poppy’s serves pizza, sandwiches, soups, and salad. The pizza is really yummy; our favorite is the Mediterranean Pizza, with sundried tomato pesto, artichoke, spinach, feta, and mozzarella. There’s even a vegan option, the Hummus Pizza, which uses hummus as a sauce. It’s good! Try it!
They’re also one of the few restaurants in town with a well stocked salad bar, which we love to visit. Their homemade soups are good, too.
In the summer, Poppy’s is a tourist favorite, with its patio seating along the Riverwalk. It can be crazy crowded, so you are better off going at odd hours, such as when they first open, or between lunch and dinner.
They allow take-out orders, and for that we applaud their commitment to using compostable trays and silverware.
Once the tourists season subsides, you’ll find lots of locals here. The winter specials are a great deal, and the place has a laid back, local vibe.
